"Mehr als Meer" 

English: "See the Sea"   

 

 

What happens if one live long lies to itself and deceive? Edda and Albert, siblings live in a room with one window. Every day they sit in front of the window and look from it outside - their only prospect is of the huge containers. They deceive themselves and want to see the sea, the ocean, the ships and see the sun, they want to become an artist and produce piece of art. What even happens with Edda and Albert, if their "most beautiful and most important goal" won´t be fulfilled?

on February 2009 -  Stage presentation of my play "Mehr als Meer" "See the Sea" in Egypt, Alexandria. In the framework of the "6th. Edition of The Forum for Independent Theater Groups (Europe- Mediterranean)" in Alexandria.

Its an Initiative by I-act and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The Forum has been an artistic, cultural phenomenon which takes place in the ancient city of Alexandria. One of its major axes is the concept of anti-festival, for the Forum is a space for artists, a space in which there is no place for formalities. The Forum has always aimed at achieving an interdisciplinary approach in which creativity, education, dialogue, knowledge, publications, translation and building joint projects are blended together.
